Senior Backend (.NET) – Payments (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and shared libraries for payment gateway and integration teams.
• Develop scalable cloud-native microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and payment-provider integrations using C# and .NET.
• Build resilient message-driven workflows using transactional outbox/inbox, idempotent processing, sagas, retries, eventual consistency, and event sourcing where appropriate.
• Work with PostgreSQL, EF Core, Redis/Valkey, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Improve reliability, performance, testability, observability, and maintainability of payment-critical services.
• Establish engineering standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and integration teams.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with C# and ASP.NET.
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and shared components.
• Strong knowledge of distributed-system and microservice patterns, including idempotency, sagas, distributed transactions, retries, and eventual consistency.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/EF Core, Redis or similar key-value stores, and Kafka or equivalent message brokers.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and engineering practices covering integration testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability, and reliability.
• Ability to own technical initiatives, lead engineering improvements, and collaborate across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, or other high-reliability transactional environments.
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, ArgoCD, Terraform, and AWS services.
• Familiarity with .NET Aspire and OpenTelemetry-based observability.
