Project Manager (Financial Markets)

Location: Hybrid work from Romania, based in Cluj-Napoca or Bucharest, with office attendance three days per week

What you will do

• Facilitate sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and other squad ceremonies.
• Own the squad backlog, including grooming, dependency mapping, and sprint capacity planning.
• Coordinate cross-squad dependencies, release readiness, and governance with Release Managers and Program Managers.
• Prepare sprint reports, risk and dependency logs, and release readiness dashboards.
• Identify blockers, lead impediment resolution, and drive actionable continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Perform Release Manager responsibilities when needed, including pre-release validation, deployment coordination, rollback planning, and go/no-go sign-off.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering software projects and 3+ years as a Scrum Master or Project Manager in multi-team environments.
• Experience with enterprise delivery, program-level governance, and financial services, banking, or capital markets programs.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, as well as hybrid or waterfall reporting environments.
• Release management experience covering deployment planning, rollback criteria, and go/no-go governance.
• Strong stakeholder, risk, issue, and dependency management skills, including communication with senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence; B2-level English or higher is required.

Nice to have

• SAFe certification or practical experience with the Scaled Agile Framework.
• Experience coordinating releases across multiple regions.
