Backend Developer (Go and PHP)

Location: Cyprus, with relocation to Limassol required; remote work is available initially, followed by office-based work.

What you will do

• Work on infrastructure tasks for a highload project.
• Profile, debug, and optimize PHP and Go solutions.
• Design and implement unit and functional tests, including API coverage.
• Search for solutions to improve system scalability.
• Separate complex project components into Golang microservices.
• Contribute to event sourcing with Kafka and universal ML/CV implementation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience developing with PHP and Go.
• Fluent knowledge of Go, PHP, and MySQL; the project currently uses PHP 8.2.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Practical experience with debugging, profiling, and optimizing PHP and Go code.
• Understanding of unit and functional testing, sharding, replication, and data structures.
• Willingness to relocate to Limassol, Cyprus; a 3-year Cyprus work visa and relocation support are provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, Elasticsearch, or Redis.
