AI Security Engineer

Location: Remote in Portugal with office attendance 1–2 times per month. Listed locations include Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Braga, Covilhã, Viseu, Tomar, Vila Real, Oeiras, Faro, Amarante, Leiria, Madeira, and other locations in Portugal.

What you will do

• Secure AI use cases, agents, and supporting platform components by design in line with the security framework.
• Translate security requirements and architecture principles into technical controls, reusable implementation patterns, evidence, and delivery guardrails.
• Embed controls for access, secrets, logging, monitoring, sandboxing, tool and API restrictions, and external integrations.
• Prepare security-gate evidence, drive remediation, and escalate unresolved control gaps, deviations, and delivery risks.
• Address AI-specific risks including prompt injection, data leakage, insecure tool use, excessive permissions, and weak auditability.
• Strengthen AI incident readiness through detection, response scenarios, playbooks, exercises, and collaboration with SOC and central security teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, including experience in transformation, digital, or platform contexts.
• Strong technical grounding in cloud security, identity and access management, application security, and secure SDLC.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML and Agentic AI security, including prompt injection, data leakage, agent identity, tool-use risk, and model supply chain risks.
• Familiarity with OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI RMF.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture for distributed systems.
• Fluent English required; willingness to attend the office 1–2 times per month.
