TL;DR
Technical Team Lead (Managed Services/Security Operations): Leading a managed-services team supporting a public-sector client across hybrid virtual infrastructure and day-to-day security operations with an accent on SLA delivery, technical escalation, and service quality. Focus on vulnerability management, major incident response, Microsoft 365 administration, identity hardening, and security-framework audits.
Location: Hybrid in Ireland, with two days per week on-site at the client's location in Co. Wicklow and the remainder worked remotely.

What you will do
- Lead and coach a dedicated managed-services team supporting a major public-sector client.
- Route, prioritise, and escalate tickets while maintaining response and resolution SLAs.
- Act as the senior escalation point for VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, storage, backup, monitoring, firewalls, and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Manage Microsoft 365, end-user support escalations, third-party suppliers, change requests, and major P1 incidents.
- Oversee security operations, including SOC ticket response, firewall and web-filtering administration, phishing and incident response, and certificate and secrets management.
- Own vulnerability management, access and security-hygiene reviews, disaster recovery testing, penetration-test remediation, and NIST CSF audits.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Leadership or management qualification, or equivalent experience.
- ITIL certification or demonstrable experience working with ITIL practices.
- Experience with VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, enterprise storage and backup, firewalls, network security, switching, routing, and LAN/WAN.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Intune, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
- Availability for the required hybrid arrangement in Ireland, including two on-site days per week in Co. Wicklow.

- Exposure to security operations, vulnerability management, and security frameworks such as NIST CSF.
