Incident Response Leader

Location: Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or U.S. Remote. Location type: On-site.

Salary: $275,000–$344,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead incident response across corporate, cloud, endpoint, network, and data center environments.
• Build detection logic, response playbooks, forensic tooling, severity models, on-call rotations, and escalation paths.
• Conduct investigations by correlating cloud, endpoint, network, and physical security signals.
• Perform containment, eradication, post-incident reviews, and executive-facing incident reporting.
• Partner with security and IT teams to close gaps identified during investigations.

Requirements

• Experience leading major security incidents from initial alert through resolution.
• Experience building detection logic and response playbooks for real intrusions.
• Experience with digital forensics across cloud, endpoint, and network evidence.
• Experience establishing or substantially rebuilding an incident response program.
• Experience with proactive threat hunting and clear reporting for engineers and executives.

Nice to have

• Experience defending AI labs, financial infrastructure, or critical infrastructure against nation-state threats.
• Cloud-native forensics with AWS or GCP, detection engineering, SIEM or SOAR tooling.
• Malware analysis or reverse engineering experience.
