Senior Director, GRC (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; in-person onboarding is required.

Annual base salary: $236,000–$325,000 USD for the San Francisco Bay Area. Other listed US locations have a range of $264,000–$363,000 USD.

What you will do

• Lead and scale the Security Governance, Risk and Compliance organization.
• Integrate AI and agentic tools into GRC operations, including evidence collection, risk scoring, policy mapping, and continuous audit readiness.
• Operationalize AI risk governance covering training data protection, model risk management, responsible AI, and emerging AI regulations.
• Direct enterprise cyber risk identification, prioritization, treatment, and quantification.
• Manage global security and privacy compliance, audits, customer assurances, regulatory reviews, and remediation of control gaps.
• Partner with Product Management, Legal, Privacy, Infrastructure, and Business Technology teams to align controls with product roadmaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive Security GRC leadership in a high-growth SaaS, cloud-first, or enterprise technology environment.
• Experience with generative and agentic AI security, data lineage, AI/ML governance, and global AI regulations.
• Extensive experience managing compliance for enterprise cloud environments and major security frameworks.
• Strong risk management and risk quantification skills, including translating technical risks for executives.
• Experience recruiting, mentoring, and retaining technical GRC engineering and risk management professionals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
