Software Engineer I (Go/React)

Location: Helsinki, Finland; weekly office presence required

Salary: €4,000–€5,000 per month

hirify.global provides residential Virtual Power Plant solutions, while its Kapacity.io team develops energy management software for the European energy market.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain software at the core of Kapacity.io’s optimization products.
• Develop and contribute across the product stack using Go, React, TypeScript, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS.
• Participate in work planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement of the codebase and team practices.
• Collaborate directly with sales to translate business needs into viable technical solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience developing and deploying production-quality software.
• Experience with UI/UX development and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with Go, Python, Docker, AWS, and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Adaptability and resilience when facing new, difficult, and ambiguous challenges.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work regularly from the Helsinki office; weekly office presence is required.
