Branch Manager (Banking)

What you will do

• Manage branch activities, profitability, sales, business development, operations, transactions, servicing, and digital engagement.
• Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, including hiring, performance management, appraisals, promotions, and staffing decisions.
• Identify retail and business banking needs, recommend products and services, and grow Business Banking relationships through proactive outreach and outside calling.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues while improving future problem resolution and reducing escalations.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and bundle products and services where appropriate.
• Maintain operational, security, compliance, audit, fraud-prevention, and customer-asset protection controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• Ability to demonstrate and coach exceptional customer service, communicate effectively, and work with business partners across the organization.
• Ability to use common PC software, including Microsoft Office, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification.

• Spanish bilingual communication skills.
• Sales and business development success with a fundamental understanding of profitability.
• Strong financial services product knowledge, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Internet and email experience.
