AI/ML Software Development Intern (Manufacturing Automation)

Location: On-site in Kulim, Malaysia. Shift 1 (Malaysia). Minimum 6-month commitment required.

hirify.global Foundry Automation's Data Analytics & Process Group develops automation and AI/ML solutions for manufacturing environments.

What you will do

• Support the development and testing of AI/ML models for manufacturing processes.
• Collect, preprocess, analyze, and visualize manufacturing data.
• Participate in solution integration, deployment, maintenance, and updates.
• Troubleshoot deployed AI/ML solutions, monitor system performance, and assist with optimization.
• Create technical documentation, user guides, training materials, project reports, and presentations.
• Support user training, knowledge transfer, and documentation of best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, completed or currently in progress.
• Programming experience with Python, R, or similar languages.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools, databases, and data management principles.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with eagerness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing processes or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Git and statistical analysis or data mining.
