Metrology & Qualification Engineer (Medtech)

Location: Marsa, Malta; onsite full-time

Salary: Minimum €27,200 annually, with the initial offer determined by skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.

What you will do

• Maintain analytical laboratory instruments in a compliant, reliable working state.
• Perform and coordinate routine and non-routine calibration and maintenance activities according to approved procedures and schedules.
• Conduct qualification and validation activities in line with regulatory and quality system requirements.
• Plan and manage calibration and maintenance performed by external service providers and equipment manufacturers.
• Review service reports and calibration certificates for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot instrument failures, identify root causes, coordinate resolutions, and support audit preparation and responses.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and experience in analytical laboratory activities, metrology, or equivalent work.
• Proficient English.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated environment and follow quality systems, GLP principles, data integrity, documentation, and change management requirements.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, learning, and internal customer-support skills.
