Project Manager (Medical Device Manufacturing)

Location: Marsa, Malta; full-time onsite role

Salary: €36,000 minimum annually, with potential for higher pay based on skills and experience; benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentives may also apply.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional engineering projects from opportunity identification and business-case development through planning, execution, and implementation.
• Coordinate teams across multiple geographic locations and manufacturing sites in EMEA and APAC.
• Define milestones, maintain project schedules, manage launch commitments, and address project risks and conflicts.
• Identify and implement cost-optimization opportunities involving insourcing, alternate sourcing, materials, components, processes, and product value engineering.
• Support change-control processes, validation activities, and implementation planning.
• Collaborate with Procurement, R&D, Quality, Operations, suppliers, and business stakeholders while maintaining product performance, regulatory compliance, and supply continuity.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Plastics, Chemical, Packaging, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a matrix organization.
• Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management, and executive stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience leading end-to-end cross-functional projects using structured project management methods.
• Strong communication and cross-functional influence skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time based on business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or automotive.
