What you will do

• Design, deploy, maintain, and scale MariaDB, MongoDB, InfluxDB, and ClickHouse databases across TB-scale datasets.
• Optimize query performance through indexing, execution plan analysis, and schema design.
• Develop production-quality Python tooling and automation for database operations and maintenance.
• Design replication, failover, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Manage containerized database workloads with Kubernetes, including ClickHouse deployments.
• Monitor system health, resolve time-sensitive production issues, and collaborate with developers, researchers, and platform engineers supporting trading applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–5 years of experience in database engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills, including complex queries, indexing, partitioning, replication, and high availability.
• Production-quality Python development skills.
• Experience deploying, managing, and debugging Kubernetes workloads.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, production operations experience, and working knowledge of AI tools for engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Graph database experience with Neo4j or similar technologies.
• Oracle, ProxySQL, Terraform, Prometheus, or Grafana experience.
• Production or trading environment experience.
