What you will do

• Design, deploy, maintain, and scale relational and non-relational databases, including MariaDB, MongoDB, InfluxDB, and ClickHouse.
• Optimize query performance through indexing, execution plan analysis, partitioning, and schema design.
• Develop production-quality Python tooling and automation for database operations, maintenance, and system health.
• Design replication, failover, high-availability, and disaster-recovery solutions.
• Manage Kubernetes-based database workloads and monitor production systems for performance degradation.
• Collaborate with developers, researchers, and platform engineers while supporting traders and data-intensive trading applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–5 years of experience in database engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong SQL skills and deep knowledge of relational databases, including complex queries, indexing, partitioning, replication, and high availability.
• Solid Python development skills for production scripts and tooling.
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes and strong Linux fundamentals, including shell scripting, process management, and system monitoring.
• Ability to operate under pressure in production environments and working knowledge of AI tools for engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j, Oracle, or ProxySQL.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Previous experience in production or trading environments.
