AI Research Lead

What you will do

• Set and evolve the research direction for core intelligence, including context representation, memory, reasoning, planning, and orchestration.
• Decide whether to develop new model architectures or adapt frontier open-source and commercial models.
• Define evaluations for real-world usefulness, robustness, safety, and long-term behavior.
• Own alignment, safety, and guardrail strategy as product concerns.
• Guide work on retrieval-augmented training, mixture-of-experts, distillation, multi-agent orchestration, and multimodal systems.
• Shape product intelligence direction with product and application engineering.

Requirements

• Deep experience building or evolving production machine learning systems.
• Strong judgment around model behavior, failure modes, and long-horizon trade-offs.
• Builder mindset focused on reliable real-world systems.
• Strong focus on evaluation, correctness, and long-term system behavior.
• Python and PyTorch or JAX experience.
• Experience with GPU-based training and inference systems.
