Head of Underwriting – Credit Fund (Gaming)

hirify.global is a global commerce company that provides funding, distribution, marketing, and monetization tools for video game developers and is building a private credit fund for gaming businesses.

What you will do

• Design the fund's underwriting framework, including credit policy, standards, rating methodology, credit memo templates, and approval workflows.
• Integrate hirify.global's payments telemetry and game-revenue data into the underwriting process.
• Lead financial analysis and underwriting for lending facilities to game studios and gaming businesses.
• Structure term loans, revolvers, royalty-based, and revenue-based facilities, including covenants, collateral packages, borrowing bases, and pricing.
• Run the credit committee process, document decisions, and establish portfolio monitoring, watchlist, covenant-tracking, and workout procedures.
• Represent the fund in LP diligence and meetings, support capital formation, and hire and mentor the junior credit team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in private credit, direct lending, specialty finance, or leveraged finance.
• Personal responsibility for underwriting and closing institutional credit transactions, with a track record of structures and outcomes.
• Deep expertise in credit analysis, financial modeling, covenant design, collateral structures, and credit documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Ability to work remotely from the USA and communicate with LPs, investment committees, founders, borrowers, and external counsel.
• Strong judgment, communication skills, and experience mentoring junior credit professionals.

Nice to have

• Experience at an early-stage or first-time credit fund, including creating credit policy and supporting LP diligence.
• Experience lending against media, intellectual property, royalties, recurring digital revenue, or gaming businesses.
• MBA and/or CFA charter.
