Software Engineer 3 - Kubernetes Platform Management - FreeWheel (Kubernetes)

Salary: $120,212.52–$180,318.78 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, customize, and integrate software solutions aligned with business needs.
• Analyze system requirements and support application updates and software release rollouts.
• Operate and troubleshoot software applications and Kubernetes-based platform systems.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to verify technical specifications and application reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on routine projects.
• Conduct training sessions for operational staff using internally developed applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering.
• Experience with Go or Python and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or OCI.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Argo CD, Terraform, and GitOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science, or equivalent coursework and experience.

Nice to have

• Experience operating production Kubernetes environments and managed services such as EKS or OKE.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling.
