Intermediate Developer (Rust)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada; travel for in-person engagement, including offsites, team meetings, and customer or industry events, may be required.

Annual base salary: $123,000–$172,000 USD for US-based roles; C$111,000–C$155,000 CAD for Canada-based roles.

What you will do

• Build features, improvements, and bug fixes across the Everyday Experience team’s codebases.
• Own the complete feature lifecycle, including planning, development, release oversight, and customer support.
• Develop unit and integration testing strategies, document implementations, and report issues effectively.
• Review RFCs and RFDs, contribute to code reviews, and provide peer feedback.
• Help customer support resolve complex product issues and prioritize customer feedback.
• Participate in refinement, prioritization, estimation, repository cleanup, and IDE integration improvements.

Requirements

• Experienced developer with strong Rust knowledge.
• Ability to own complex systems work from design through delivery and production support.
• Comfort working across product surfaces, backend services, CI/CD, reliability, and operational workflows.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to balance quality, speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Ability to quickly ramp up in complex codebases and ambiguous problem spaces.
• Ability to validate, review, and safely apply AI-assisted work in production systems.

Nice to have

• Strong experience building backend services in Go.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
