Contract 3D Artist (Maya)

What you will do

• Create polished 3D assets for YouTube thumbnails across Minecraft and Roblox channels.
• Model, texture, pose, and optimize characters, props, and environments using rigged character models.
• Build environments through set dressing, composition, and lighting.
• Produce high-quality renders and collaborate with thumbnail artists, management, and fellow artists on revisions.
• Track YouTube trends, gaming content, internet culture, and competitor strategies.
• Meet project deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Maya.
• Strong understanding of the full 3D production pipeline, including modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and rigged characters.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to implement feedback effectively.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redshift, BlockBench, Roblox Studio, rigging, compositing, or painting over 3D renders.
• Understanding of YouTube thumbnails, titles, trends, audience behavior, analytics, performance metrics, and CTR optimization.
• Passion for video games, particularly Minecraft, Roblox, or similar gaming content.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and YouTube and internet culture.
