Senior Scientist, BRD Portfolio Representative (Biologics Development)

Location: Hybrid in Chesterfield, St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Travel up to 10%, primarily to other hirify.global sites. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Annual base salary: $93,600–$156,000, plus a 12.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Represent Bioprocess Research & Development on Pharmaceutical Sciences Project Teams and coordinate project deliverables, progress updates, risks, and strategies.
• Lead BRD project teams and develop integrated plans covering technology strategy, timelines, budgets, and FTE resource requirements.
• Align project strategies across BRD Science & Technology lines, BRD leadership, project teams, and management stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making and problem-solving for drug-substance development issues with line management and subject matter experts.
• Coordinate the authoring and review of regulatory documentation in accordance with internal SOPs and BRD guidelines.
• Support portfolio efficiency initiatives through training, SharePoint tools, metric-based tracking, best-practice sharing, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or master’s degree with 6+ years of experience in genetics, molecular or cell biology, biochemistry, biological/life sciences, or chemical/biochemical engineering.
• Industrial experience developing biological therapeutics and/or vaccines within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Broad technical knowledge of cell line and biologics process development and early-phase pharmaceutical sciences project progression.
• Proven experience managing moderately complex projects, leading teams, prioritizing multiple activities, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
• Strong cross-functional communication, collaborative leadership, and pragmatic technical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project planning and tracking tools, including Excel, GDMS, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Experience serving as a BRD representative or BRD line technology lead on portfolio project teams.
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into project plans and portfolio guidance.
• Familiarity with regulatory/ICH guidelines and IND/IMPD filings.
