Engineering Manager

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; hybrid attendance required at the local office at least 3 days per week, with remaining days available for remote work.

What you will do

• Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full-stack development.
• Own engineering delivery for major product areas while maintaining speed, reliability, and technical quality.
• Partner with product, design, mobile, backend, and AI teams to turn ambiguous problems into technical execution.
• Drive architecture and engineering decisions across APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and customer-facing systems.
• Set standards for code quality, system design, testing, observability, security, and production reliability.
• Coach engineers, manage performance, improve engineering processes and tooling, and own incident resolution and root-cause prevention.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping production systems.
• Experience leading or managing software engineers and owning engineering delivery.
• Technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience making architecture and technical trade-offs involving speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, performance management, product sense, and ownership.
• Strong English communication is required; candidates should be based in or able to work from the advertised location.
