Senior Manager, Hardware and Operations Engineering (Medical Devices)

Location: In-office position based in the Taoyuan City, Taiwan office. Travel within Taiwan and internationally, including Thailand and China, is required up to 25%.

Salary: 4,000,000–4,220,000 TWD plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary organization spanning mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering.
• Drive end-to-end hardware development, prototype builds, industrialization, sustaining engineering, and delivery of mass production.
• Lead global NPI transfers from development builds to high-volume production with contract manufacturers, ODM partners, and suppliers.
• Improve yield, cost, process maturity, and field reliability using manufacturing data and failure analysis.
• Own engineering change management, BOMs, SOPs, process control plans, and coordination across design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
• Build and develop a high-performing engineering organization through hiring, coaching, and career development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of hardware and manufacturing engineering experience in consumer electronics and/or medical devices.
• End-to-end electronics hardware product development experience from concept through production and sustaining.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and working with contract manufacturers, ODM partners, and component suppliers.
• Experience with quality systems, DFM, DFT, DFR, product lifecycle management, lean manufacturing, regulated manufacturing, and NPI transfers.
• Fluent English required: TOEFL score of 5 or greater, 100+ on the old scoring system, or TOEIC score of 785 or greater.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience across all stages of the product development lifecycle.
• Extensive electro-mechanical system design and manufacturing experience.
• Experience with plastic molding and metal fabrication processes.
