Senior AI Security Engineer

Location: Remote within Europe, ideally within CET ±3 hours. The role is fully remote; Ljubljana, Slovenia is the headquarters.

What you will do

• Design the security architecture, threat models, detection systems, access controls, and enforcement policies for AI security products.
• Build capabilities for prompt injection detection, secret protection, agent auditing, and access enforcement.
• Work with Product and AI leadership to identify critical threats and define the product roadmap.
• Build AI security products on a globally distributed edge network operating at large scale.
• Secure the internal AI platform and apply the resulting learnings to customer-facing products.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and architecting complex production systems.
• Background in application security, infrastructure security, or both.
• AI-native workflow with daily experience building alongside AI agents and turning their output into production-ready systems.
• Senior-level software architecture skills, including trust boundaries, failure modes, and system-level risk.
• Experience with agent-driven development failure modes and guardrails, including mitigation strategies.
• Ability to work from Europe with collaboration during CET ±3 hours preferred.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of prompt injection, secret exfiltration, escalation paths, and insider threat amplification.
• Experience building WAFs, API gateways, or threat detection systems.
• Experience using AI agents to build or improve production security tooling.
• Familiarity with edge computing, CDN infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems.
