Manager, Governance & Operational Risk (Fintech)

What you will do

• Maintain the Operations risk register and conduct risk and control assessments across operational processes.
• Review control design and effectiveness, identify gaps, track corrective actions, and escalate material risks.
• Manage governance for new products and services, coordinating risk, compliance, technology, security, operational, finance, and customer-impact assessments.
• Verify launch readiness, including procedures, controls, training, customer support, reporting, and incident management.
• Coordinate operational incident investigations, root-cause analysis, post-launch reviews, and lessons learned.
• Prepare risk and governance reports, coordinate audit and regulatory responses, and support vendor risk and operational resilience activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in operational risk, governance, controls, audit, compliance, or operations.
• Experience with product launches, risk assessments, control testing, and incident management.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, governance, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, planning, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Ability to work across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Customer Experience, and Internal Audit.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or another regulated industry.
