QA Analyst (Hearts of Iron IV)

Location: 100% onsite in the Stockholm office, 5 days a week; hybrid and remote work are not available. Applicants must already have EU citizenship and/or the permanent right to live and work in Sweden.

hirify.global's Paradox Studios Gold develops Hearts of Iron IV, a complex World War II grand strategy game with a ten-year legacy.

What you will do

• Act as the QA point of contact for specific features, content, and releases.
• Test, find, reproduce, report, and regress bugs.
• Playtest Hearts of Iron IV and provide effective qualitative feedback.
• Identify and flag risks to product quality.
• Coordinate with external QA teams on test planning and tasking.
• Liaise with developers and communicate findings clearly and diplomatically.

Requirements

• Games QA experience, either 2+ years of professional QA or demonstrated QA interest through Alpha/Beta testing and similar activities.
• Experience with JIRA or similar bug-tracking software, or familiarity with bug-tracking concepts and practical experience using simpler tools.
• Experience using agentic AI tools for QA work, or familiarity with basic AI tools and the ability to write effective prompts.
• Clear, concise, and diplomatic communication skills.
• Spoken and written English at CEFR C1 level or better.
• EU citizenship and/or the permanent right to live and work in Sweden is required.

Nice to have

• Significant Hearts of Iron IV knowledge and playtime, especially for applicants without previous QA experience.
• Interest in the grand strategy genre and willingness to learn.
• C++ experience.
• Advanced experience with agentic AI in QA, including AI-supported development of QA tools and AI automation.
