Senior Java Backend Developer

Location: Remote, candidates must be based in Uzbekistan. Working hours follow Uzbekistan time.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Java backend services and REST APIs for the mobile application.
• Implement business logic for onboarding, profiles, events, matching, communication, and notifications.
• Define documented API contracts for the Flutter application and design reliable data models, persistence layers, and migrations.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and personal-data protection.
• Design services for at least 10,000 concurrent users and horizontal scaling.
• Support automated testing, logging, monitoring, containerization, CI/CD, cloud deployment, release stabilization, and documentation.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional backend development experience with Java.
• Strong experience with modern Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, SQL, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Experience designing and documenting production REST APIs with OpenAPI or Swagger.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or JWT, plus scalable and resilient services using caching, asynchronous processing, or message queues.
• Knowledge of automated testing with JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test, or comparable tools.
• Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, cloud environments, production monitoring, and professional working proficiency in English. Russian is a plus.
