TL;DR
Product Manager - Intermodal (TOS and rail automation): Designing and evolving intermodal terminal operating solutions that connect container terminal operations with rail and inland logistics, with an accent on product vision, automation strategy, and user experience. Focus on defining rail equipment automation workflows, standardizing partner integrations, and validating complex solutions for terminal operators, planners, dispatchers, and equipment operators.

What you will do
- Own the roadmap and product vision for intermodal functionality in N4 and related terminal operating system products.
- Identify product gaps and customer needs across container terminal, rail, inland logistics, yard, gate, and equipment operations.
- Define automation strategies for rail operations, including automated rail-mounted gantry cranes, automated stacking cranes, and other rail-yard equipment.
- Lead product ownership for interfaces used by dispatchers, planners, clerks, and equipment operators.
- Work with engineers, designers, product teams, Sales, Services, and customers to develop, launch, and validate solutions.
- Define success metrics and standardized integration methods for partners using APIs, EDI, and equipment automation interfaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in container terminal operations or implementing and supporting terminal operating systems.
- Strong understanding of vessel operations, yard management, rail loading and unloading, gate processes, and intermodal handoffs between marine terminals and rail or truck operations.
- Experience with real-time optimization, job dispatching, and automated operating environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work remotely from Spain.
Nice to have
- MBA or Master’s degree and 5+ years of product management experience building software solutions.
- Experience with N4, SPARCS, or other major terminal operating systems.
- Knowledge of rail scheduling, rail-yard inventory, train loading and discharge, and terminal equipment operations.
- Understanding of EDI messaging standards, integration patterns, and Agile/Scrum product ownership.
- Experience in supply chain software or rail freight, with willingness to travel up to 20%.
