What you will do

• Perform manual testing of an interactive web-based weather visualization platform.
• Verify that radar, map layers, storm patterns, and other weather-data features function correctly and display accurate information.
• Participate in live testing events during tornado outbreaks.
• Identify, document, and clearly communicate bugs and anomalies.
• Collaborate with developers to confirm fixes, improve usability, and suggest enhancements based on weather-data expertise and user behavior.

Requirements

• Current student in meteorology, climatology, environmental sciences, or another weather-related field, or a self-taught weather enthusiast with deep knowledge of radar maps, forecasting models, and storm tracking.
• Experience using different weather applications and weather-data sources.
• Curiosity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to document bugs clearly.
• Comfort using web tools and navigating across browsers and devices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with exploratory and regression testing.
• Experience with bug-tracking or task-management tools.
• Basic understanding of data feeds or weather APIs.
