TL;DR
Quality Engineer (AI Hardware): Ensuring quality systems for AI hardware components, L10 server assemblies, and L11 rack integrations with an accent on inspection strategy, system-level testing, supplier quality, and manufacturing reliability. Focus on root-cause analysis, corrective actions, quality metrics, and scaling production processes across suppliers and contract manufacturers.

What you will do

  • Lead quality assurance across component suppliers, contract manufacturers, and L10 server and L11 rack integration partners.
  • Establish incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspection processes and quality gates.
  • Define system-level test coverage, burn-in protocols, and reliability validation with Test Engineering.
  • Drive failure analysis, root-cause investigations, 8D, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track yield, defect density, escapes, and DPPM metrics for engineering and operations stakeholders.
  • Conduct supplier audits and support NPI, ECO, line capability, training, and documentation activities.

Requirements

  • Hands-on quality experience with L6 components, L10 server assembly, and L11 rack integration at Tier 1 contract manufacturers or ODMs.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB/A manufacturing, including SMT, SPI, AOI, and X-ray inspection.
  • Experience establishing and managing IQC, IPQC, and OQC systems in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, Cpk, control plans, and statistical process control.
  • Experience with manufacturing quality metrics, server assembly, burn-in, and system-level testing.
  • Comfort working on-site at supplier and contract manufacturing factories in real time.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with SMT and DIP processes.
  • Experience with thermal and power stress testing or system reliability engineering.
  • Experience ramping complex systems from NPI into mass production.
  • Electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering background.
