TL;DR
Robotics End-Effector Integration Engineer (Humanoid Robotics) (grippers, actuators, and sensors): Integrating prototype end-effectors into reliable humanoid robot systems with an accent on test rigs, component evaluation, calibration, and multidisciplinary debugging. Focus on analyzing sensor and actuator data, identifying root causes across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software interfaces, and selecting production components for the BOM.

What you will do

  • Assemble, wire, calibrate, bring up, and validate early end-effector prototypes at robot level.
  • Integrate mechanisms, actuators, sensors, electronics, controls, and robot software across parallel engineering workstreams.
  • Design and build mechanical and electrical test rigs for grippers, actuators, tactile sensors, and force/torque sensors.
  • Run comparative component tests and analyze accuracy, repeatability, hysteresis, drift, noise, bandwidth, and integration feasibility.
  • Triage and debug end-effector and sensor failures in the lab and on newly built robots.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document findings for the mechanical, electrical, controls, and software teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in robotics, mechatronics, or systems integration engineering.
  • Experience taking a complex electromechanical system from individual parts to reliable operation on a robot.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, soldering, wiring, and test fixture construction.
  • Knowledge of robotic grippers, actuators, tactile sensors, force/torque sensors, encoders, load cells, calibration, and sensor behavior.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Python for sensor data capture and analysis, ROS/ROS2 for visualization and debugging, and Git.

Nice to have

  • Mechanical CAD experience with SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
  • Experience calibrating tactile or force/torque sensors, working with motor drives and actuator control, or building automated lifecycle tests.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for bug tracking and RCA documentation.
