Senior/Staff Software Engineer, ML Data Infrastructure (Autonomous Driving)

Salary: $193,930–$352,290 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop unified, introspectable batch and streaming data pipelines for on-road and simulation logs.
• Create scalable storage systems for evaluation and performance metrics.
• Build dashboards and reports that compare ML component and autonomous-driving system improvements and regressions.
• Develop continuous testing and monitoring systems to maintain data and pipeline integrity.
• Build data-mining and annotation tools for perception, behavior, mapping, and driving-trajectory data.
• Scale annotation labels using state-of-the-art applied ML techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree, plus at least four years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Experience with large-scale data, scalable and reliable systems, and data pipelines.
• Experience setting technical or project vision, managing timelines and priorities, mentoring engineers, and providing technical leadership.
• Ability to work deeply with implementation details and establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Strong proficiency in C++ or another high-performance low-level language.
• Experience with GCP, GCS, BigQuery, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of data engineering practices, batch and streaming processing, data warehousing, and analytics solutions.
• Experience with large-scale distributed data systems, system and framework design, and workflow orchestration platforms.
