AI Mentor (AI Champion Programme)

Location: Home based in the UK, with occasional travel to the London office

Applicants must currently be based in the UK and hold the legal right to work there. This is a full-time role with 37.5 hours per week. The position is currently being used to build a talent pool rather than fill an active vacancy.

What you will do

• Mentor professionals participating in the AI Champion Apprenticeship Programme.
• Help learners identify, implement, and champion AI technologies that improve organisational efficiency and productivity.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments against the apprenticeship standard.
• Support learners in developing project portfolios and preparing for Gateway and the Apprenticeship End Point Assessment.
• Provide technical support, check-ins, feedback, and progress updates through individual and group mentoring sessions.
• Collaborate with Delivery and Curriculum teams on learner queries, content development, employer references, and programme delivery.

Requirements

• Practical knowledge or experience with modern AI and data tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Power BI, ChatGPT, or related platforms.
• Experience mentoring, teaching, or coaching professionals in learning, organisational development, apprenticeships, or digital skills.
• Experience prioritising workloads, meeting strict deadlines, and following governing procedures and controls.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting the development of colleagues and learners.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Must be based in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience leading business change initiatives, improving productivity through technology, or embedding digital tools into team workflows.
• Background in education or an AI-related field.

Hiring process

• Competency-based interview with a role play; a preparation brief is provided with the invitation. Duration: 75 minutes.
• Ways of Working and Meet the Team session. Duration: 45 minutes.
