Vehicle Program Manager (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Tallinn, Estonia; hybrid work with at least 12 monthly in-office days and regular travel to OEM and supplier locations across Europe and beyond.

Bolt is a global mobility platform offering ride-hailing, food delivery, scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing services, and is building a commercial L4 autonomous ride-hailing service in Europe.

What you will do

• Own OEM vehicle programs end to end, including program structure, milestones, technical gates, deliverables, and timing.
• Manage day-to-day engineering and production relationships with OEM partners through technical reviews, requirement discussions, industrialisation, and manufacturing-readiness activities.
• Evaluate vehicle platforms, OEM capabilities, and suppliers, including platform maturity, L4 readiness, E/E architecture, lifecycle, and carry-over potential.
• Translate requirements from sensors, ADS integration, and operations into vehicle-level specifications and incorporate OEM constraints into program planning.
• Run program governance through steering meetings, decision logs, risk management, escalation paths, and vehicle-side regulatory and homologation tracking.
• Feed platform, cost, feasibility, and OEM insights into vehicle product strategy and platform decisions.

Requirements

• Solid experience running vehicle programs in automotive, autonomous driving, or an adjacent hardware industry as a program manager, chief engineer, project leader, or similar.
• Direct experience working with or inside OEMs, including vehicle development and production gateways, sourcing, engineering change, validation, industrialisation, and series production.
• Technical credibility across complete vehicles, including E/E architecture, vehicle systems, integration constraints, and redundancy.
• Structured and authoritative approach to planning, documentation, follow-up, decision-making, and risk management.
• Comfort working as a senior individual contributor in a small, fast-moving team and travelling regularly to partner locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicle homologation or type approval.
• Experience with L4 or L2+ autonomous vehicle programs.
