Senior Mobile Engineer (Card & Payment)

Salary: $178,888–$268,333 per year, plus potential performance bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end global card issuance process, from eligibility and application through activation, provisioning, and lifecycle servicing.
• Translate business, user, payment, and regulatory requirements into architecture, technical trade-offs, and delivery plans.
• Build and operate production-quality mobile features with strong security, reliability, observability, documentation, and test coverage.
• Drive ambiguous cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with product, design, backend, risk, compliance, and business partners.
• Develop with Swift, Kotlin, or Rust and adopt new languages, platforms, and tools as needed.
• Use AI coding tools and build reusable AI workflows, engineering harnesses, and knowledge bases that improve team productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Production experience shipping and operating mobile applications, with deep expertise in iOS or Android.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of Swift, Kotlin, or Rust, with willingness to work across unfamiliar stacks.
• Strong ownership, self-direction, judgment, communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
• Regular use of AI coding tools with measurable impact on delivery speed, code quality, or engineering effectiveness.
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with card issuance, card processing, payments, fintech, crypto, or other high-trust financial products.
• Experience launching products across multiple countries or regulatory environments.
• Knowledge of mobile security, payment authentication, risk controls, or transaction lifecycle design.
• Experience improving mobile architecture, shared components, developer tooling, or engineering productivity at team scale.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
