Senior Product Manager 1 (Fintech)

Location: Auckland, New Zealand; hybrid work with the option to work from home 2 days per week. Candidates must reside in New Zealand or be New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or residents with valid travel conditions.

A high-growth New Zealand-founded SaaS business providing mobile apps, management software, and giving technology for churches, schools, nonprofits, and communities.

What you will do

• Define and execute a product roadmap within an assigned charter, balancing customer value, business goals, and technical feasibility.
• Lead customer discovery and translate stakeholder needs into product requirements and validated solutions.
• Partner with Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver, launch, and grow product features.
• Support packaging and pricing decisions across Basic, Advanced, and Complete product tiers.
• Develop working knowledge of APIs, integrations, payments processing, vaults, tokenisation, and settlements.
• Use product analytics and AI tools to identify opportunities, improve decision-making, and mentor other Product Managers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience in SaaS, fintech, or an adjacent industry.
• Proven success delivering products or features end-to-end in cross-functional teams.
• Experience translating customer needs into product requirements and working with APIs, integrations, or partnership-driven products.
• Practical experience evaluating AI and machine learning applications, including their limitations.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira or equivalent issue-tracking tools; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must reside in New Zealand, or hold New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or residency with valid travel conditions; occasional non-standard hours may be required for global collaboration.

Nice to have

• Exposure to payments, tokenisation, or fintech ecosystems.
• Experience with Confluence, Postman, Amplitude, Pendo, or equivalent tools.
