What you will do
- Lead Level Designers in creating high-quality, replayable levels for single-player and online gameplay.
- Maintain a consistent game vision through communication, reviews, and actionable feedback.
- Collaborate with Game Design, Technology, Online/Backend, UX, and Production teams to integrate levels with matchmaking, progression, events, and live development pipelines.
- Use player data, telemetry, and user research to iterate on levels and improve player experience.
- Balance multiplayer spaces for fairness, readability, and performance while establishing modular, scalable, and maintainable online level-design practices.
- Mentor the team, support recruitment, and remain hands-on in the editor.
Requirements
- 10+ years of game-development experience or at least one shipped AAA title as a Senior or Lead Level Designer.
- Strong understanding of online level design, replayability, systemic design, multiplayer balance, encounter design, player flow, and readability.
- Hands-on knowledge of level-design tools and game engines.
- Understanding of live game-development cycles and content pipelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills in an agile environment.
- Good command of English required.
Nice to have
- Experience with live-service games or post-launch content.
- Experience using telemetry and player data to inform design decisions.
- Understanding of networking constraints and their impact on level design.
- Basic architecture knowledge or artistic skills such as drawing, painting, or 3D.
