TL;DR
Working Student (m/f/d) - Sustainability Management (Specialty Chemicals): Supporting sustainability data analysis, product carbon footprinting, life cycle assessments, and carbon reduction initiatives across an Adsorbents & Additives portfolio with an accent on ESG reporting, product sustainability, and Scope 3 emissions. Focus on analyzing complex sustainability data, monitoring regulations, and translating findings into recommendations, communications, and measurable business improvements.

Location: Munich, Bavaria, Germany; onsite. Temporary position for 9–12 months, starting November 1, 2026.

What you will do

  • Collect and analyze sustainability data to support value propositions and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with Life Cycle Assessments and Product Carbon Footprints across the Adsorbents & Additives portfolio.
  • Support sustainability communications, presentations, trainings, and customer questionnaires.
  • Research sustainability regulations and trends, identifying relevant best practices.
  • Contribute to Scope 3 carbon emission reduction projects and product sustainability assessments.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration with a sustainability focus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure complex information and develop clear recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills are required.
  • Proactive, organized, independent, detail-oriented, and solution-oriented working style.
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks, climate reporting such as CSRD and TCFD, carbon footprinting, LCA, or circular economy concepts.
