Lead Data Engineer (Sr. Palantir Engineer)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python.
• Architect scalable data frameworks for analytics and operational workflows while maintaining data quality and consistency.
• Configure Foundry Data Connections, Pipeline Builder, Contour, Code Repositories, and ontology objects.
• Develop ontology-driven applications with Workshop and Quiver, ensuring consistent data flow from ingestion through ontology.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, domain experts, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, cost monitoring, platform stability, and continuous workflow improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python.
• Deep hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including Data Connections, Pipeline Builder, Contour, Code Repositories, Ontology Management, Workshop, and Quiver.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, access control, performance optimization, and complex data troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and analysts.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Experience with Snowflake and its integration with Foundry.
• Exposure to Generative AI and its application in data workflows.
• Knowledge of data security, compliance, and metadata management.
