Senior SQL Server Database Administrator – French-speaking Expertise

Location: Porto, Portugal with a hybrid work model; candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Administer SQL Server platforms from version 2014 onward and Sybase ASE environments, ensuring availability, stability, performance, and security.
• Lead platform refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, database migrations, and change-control activities.
• Develop T-SQL and PowerShell automation scripts and optimize database models and SQL queries.
• Implement and maintain high-availability solutions, including AlwaysOn and Transactional Replication.
• Monitor database health, conduct audits, respond to incidents, and participate in crisis-management scenarios.
• Administer SSRS, Power BI Server, SSIS, and SSAS while collaborating with infrastructure, network, and development teams.

Requirements

• At least 9 years of SQL Server administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2014+, Sybase ASE, performance tuning, database automation, and high-availability solutions.
• Strong scripting skills in T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Experience with Microsoft BI tools, including SSRS, Power BI, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Fluent English and French are required.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP database projects.
• Experience with .NET, C#, Angular, or Rust.
• Certifications in SQL Server, cloud platforms, or infrastructure.
