Product Owner - CMDB (ServiceNow)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in the office, based in Somerset, New Jersey or Austin, Texas, USA.

Salary: $90,000–$140,000 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Own the ServiceNow CMDB product strategy, roadmap, governance framework, and operational processes.
• Gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and align CMDB capabilities with business and IT objectives.
• Improve configuration data quality, completeness, accuracy, lifecycle management, and user adoption.
• Lead discovery, service mapping, data integration, and onboarding of applications, infrastructure, cloud resources, and technology assets.
• Define KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting to measure platform effectiveness.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, Engineering, Security, Architecture, Asset Management, and Service Management stakeholders.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, Configuration Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, the ServiceNow data model, CSDM, CI classes, relationships, and governance.
• At least 5 years of experience in Configuration Management, CMDB, ServiceNow, ITSM, ITAM, Product Ownership, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years supporting, enhancing, or owning enterprise CMDB capabilities, governance initiatives, or ServiceNow functionality.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, data quality programs, operational controls, automation, KPIs, reporting, and dashboards.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
• ITIL Foundation certification and the ability to work three days per week in a U.S. office are required; travel of up to 10% is expected.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or CIS Discovery and/or Service Mapping certification.
• Advanced ITIL certification.
• Experience implementing and governing CSDM, optimizing CMDB capabilities, and improving enterprise CMDB maturity.
