TL;DR
Junior Risk Analyst (iGaming): Protecting online gaming operations from fraud, financial risks, and regulatory non-compliance with an accent on KYC, AML, account monitoring, and suspicious activity analysis. Focus on investigating flagged player accounts, handling chargebacks and payouts, and escalating PEP, sanctions, and adverse media findings in a fast-paced risk operations environment.
Location: Hybrid work model in Birkirkara, Malta; flexible rotating shifts include weekends and public holidays.

What you will do
- Perform KYC documentation verification in line with operational procedures.
- Analyse chargeback disputes and process customer payouts.
- Conduct and support PEP, sanctions, and adverse media checks, escalating findings when required.
- Monitor and investigate high-risk and flagged accounts, including suspicious gaming activity.
- Take appropriate actions on customer accounts while maintaining compliance and customer experience.
- Collaborate with other teams, report pending cases, and contribute to improving internal procedures.
Requirements
- Native Italian and fluent English, written and spoken.
- At least one year of experience in Customer Support, KYC, Fraud, Risk, or a similar analytical role, preferably in iGaming or another regulated industry.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to manage changing priorities independently.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Reliable, adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning.
Nice to have
- Experience working with the Italian market.
- Basic understanding of Fraud, AML, KYC, or Responsible Gaming principles.
- Experience with risk or monitoring tools.
