Salary: $95,000–$245,000 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a group of approximately 15–20 engineers working on GN&C system concepts and architectures.
• Manage performance goals, regular check-ins, evaluations, career development, and technical leadership opportunities.
• Establish best practices for system concept development, descriptive and functional modeling, simulation, and system analysis.
• Serve as the lead subject matter expert, shape technology offerings, and identify new business opportunities.
• Direct internal and external R&D activities, research proposals, technology roadmaps, university collaborations, and student cohorts.
• Oversee staffing, hiring, technical work quality, project execution, administrative approvals, and compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering, design, development, and management of complex systems.
• Strong ability to supervise a team of 10–20 engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting technical material to engineering teams and customers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in strategic weapons, Department of Defense, space, GN&C, or inertial systems.
• Technical leadership experience as a Technical Director, Task Leader, or Principal Investigator.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, system architecture, requirements, or system design.
• Experience contributing to technical and cost proposals.
• Existing active US Government Security Clearance.
