What you will do

• Identify original stories, fresh angles, and emerging trends to create high-impact video journalism.
• Produce visual stories from concept to delivery, including reporting, filming, scripting, editing, and narrative development.
• Build source networks and secure exclusive content, expert contributors, and access to stories.
• Deliver high-quality video for major news events and breaking stories while maintaining hirify.global editorial standards.
• Develop new formats and storytelling techniques across vertical, square, and horizontal video platforms.
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and social media teams to increase the reach and impact of video output.

Requirements

• Strong visual storytelling, editorial judgement, and story development skills.
• Experience producing content for multiple digital formats and platforms, with an understanding of audience behaviour and platform performance.
• Strong production planning and organisational skills, including managing shoots, contributors, locations, and deadlines.
• Knowledge of digital video best practices, including subtitles, graphics, content optimisation, platform algorithms, and audience engagement.
• Knowledge of editorial compliance, copyright, safety, and ethical reporting standards.
• Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to make independent decisions in fast-moving and sensitive situations.
