Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee lawfully admitted into the United States.

Salary: $164,652.00–$230,512.80 base pay annually for California applicants; ranges may differ by site.

What you will do

• Design and develop complex software systems and infrastructure using .NET, Java, or Python.
• Architect, build, and deploy Agentic AI solutions, autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration frameworks, and LLM-powered workflows.
• Develop inventory lifecycle, production planning, scheduling, and material availability systems for aerospace operations.
• Build web interfaces with Angular or React and integrate commercial products through REST services, AI/ML APIs, and message queues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across vehicle development, testing, operations, and launch activities.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and troubleshoot software across deployment, server-side, and client-side environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience writing production code in Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience leading system design and architecture, including cloud-based applications and containerized workloads, preferably on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software delivery with incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
• Intellectual curiosity, rapid experimentation, and interest in AI/ML advancements.
• U.S. citizenship, nationality, permanent residency, refugee status, or asylum status is required under export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Production experience with Agentic AI, multi-agent architectures, autonomous workflows, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, or fine-tuning.
• Experience with scalable relational and non-relational data platforms and AI/ML solutions in ERP, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or aerospace.
