Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician

What you will do

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, operational guidelines, and pharmacy practice standards.
• Check dispensed prescriptions and send customer orders through courier services.
• Manage pharmacy near misses, create action plans, and work with the Risk and Safety team to resolve incidents.
• Coordinate with Service and internal teams to ensure timely order dispatch.
• Contribute to service development, problem-solving, innovation, and patient experience improvements.
• Support the Pharmacy Manager with workforce training and collaborate with Supply Chain on inventory management.

Requirements

• GPhC registration is required.
• A recognised Accuracy Checking Technician qualification or active enrolment in an accredited ACT training programme is required.
• Strong professional expertise and knowledge of pharmacy operations and national and local services.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-centred approach.

• Two-hour onsite trial and interview with a Production Manager, Pharmacist, and/or Senior Operations Manager.
