Senior iOS Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the EU; the company’s Vienna office is part of Roche’s global site network.

What you will do

• Lead innovation and large-scale development on the iOS platform.
• Write production code and guide the technical direction of the development team.
• Make architectural and technical decisions and ensure thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate autonomously with designers, QA, and product owners in an interdisciplinary team.
• Drive improvements to product development processes and engineering infrastructure.
• Provide technical input for strategic product decisions, pre-sales, marketing, and hiring.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building native iOS applications.
• Strong experience with Swift and Objective-C, including mentoring other engineers.
• Track record of building reliable, performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Experience maintaining live products, working iteratively, and writing automated tests.
• Focus on accessibility, performance, user experience, and systemic solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; the role is available remotely within the EU.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of diabetes or another comparable healthcare industry.
• Experience in an energetic startup environment.
• Background in Computer Science.
• Familiarity with ReSwift, Functional Reactive Programming, or App Extensions.
