What you will do
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure including AWS, Kubernetes, Databricks, and Airflow supporting 800+ daily workflows.
- Develop internal Python tools and CI/CD pipelines to simplify the validation and release of dbt models.
- Build observability and alerting systems to monitor platform health, uptime, and compute costs.
- Design and deliver intuitive solutions to improve the overall data ecosystem for internal users.
- Promote software engineering best practices to raise the product and technical quality bar.
Requirements
- Must be based in Berlin, Germany (Hybrid).
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with data-intensive systems and IaC.
- Proficiency in Python or another mainstream OOP language.
- Strong understanding of modern CI/CD practices, testing, and automation.
- English: C1 proficiency (fluent spoken and written).
- Experience with modern data stacks such as Databricks, Delta Lake, or Iceberg.
