What you will do

• Lead a backend engineering squad and guide architectural decisions, coding standards, and technical execution.
• Own the design and development of scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS with Express.
• Drive reliability, performance, testing, monitoring, logging, deployments, and production operations.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps leads to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Mentor backend developers and participate in hiring and technical assessment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, NestJS, Express, RESTful API design, security, and performance optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including modeling, tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms preferably GCP, and infrastructure as code.
• Spanish and English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Pub/Sub.
• Exposure to serverless computing and cloud-native development patterns.
