What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance REST APIs with FastAPI.
• Architect asynchronous, non-blocking backend services that scale with the user base.
• Implement event-driven data synchronization using change-data-capture patterns.
• Improve performance through caching, connection pooling, and query optimization.
• Strengthen observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response across the platform.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams while contributing to architecture, engineering practices, and the open-source community.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on expertise with FastAPI as the primary requirement.
• Proficiency in Python and asynchronous programming with asyncio and async/await.
• 3–5 years of backend development experience, including at least 2 years with FastAPI.
• Experience building and scaling production backend systems, with strong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and deployment strategies.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, message queues, task scheduling, and distributed backend systems.
• Ability to take ownership of problems and work effectively in a fast-paced distributed engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django, GraphQL, Golang, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, Rancher, DataDog, or Sentry.
