Senior Android Engineer, Wallet (Web3)

Location: Toronto, Canada; in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week

Salary: CAD 166,000–195,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build stable and intuitive Android experiences for cryptocurrency and tokenized-stock trading.
• Develop mobile features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs across the full product lifecycle.
• Design scalable mobile architectures and lead technical implementation, testing, and release.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, data scientists, and external blockchain partners.
• Establish development standards, lead code reviews, and improve code quality and maintainability.
• Mentor developers and contribute to architecture discussions and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Work from the Toronto office at least 3 days per week.
• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, and architecture patterns such as MVVM.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused perspective.
• Experience mentoring peers, leading complex projects, and influencing architecture decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with DeFi protocols, crypto wallets, or blockchain-related products.
• Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts.
