What you will do

• Research and monitor public markets investment managers across assigned asset classes.
• Evaluate investment philosophy, process, people, performance, style, factor exposures, portfolio construction, and risk characteristics.
• Conduct manager due diligence, assess peer groups, and develop actionable investment recommendations.
• Improve research infrastructure for manager monitoring, peer analysis, portfolio diagnostics, and reporting.
• Participate in mutual fund board meetings and prepare reports supporting board initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across asset allocation, quantitative research, product management, risk, and client services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• Preferably 2–3 years of public markets manager research experience, ideally including equity manager coverage.
• Ability to conduct independent qualitative and quantitative due diligence and translate findings into investment recommendations.
• Experience analyzing performance, style, factor, attribution, and risk characteristics using FactSet, Bloomberg, Axioma, Barra, Morningstar, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of public markets investment vehicles, including mutual funds, ETFs, CITs, separate accounts, and multi-manager structures.
• Strong presentation, communication, independent judgment, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Basic programming skills in VBA, R, Python, or similar tools.
• CFA certification, progress toward the certification, or a desire to obtain it.
